Our dedicated full-time workforce have been on the farm for a total of 387 years averaging 23 years each.

Archie Saul

Managing Director

Archie is a third generation farmer graduating from Wye College in 1977 and made Managing Director in 1994. He is passionate about the quality of produce grown on the farm having overseen the development of the brassica and potato enterprises and is keen to see further growth in all areas. He is a great supporter of the countryside and in order to promote a successful habitat for indigenous wildlife has planted many kilometers of hedges and trees. He is also a Director of Elgro Potatoes Ltd and a member of the Witham Fourth Internal District Drainage Board.

Paul Freeman

Director

Paul graduated from Cirencester Agricultural College and worked in Norfolk and Kent before joining us in 1994. He is BASIS and FACTS qualified and is responsible for the planning, growing and marketing of all crops. With Paul’s drive and ambition the business continues to grow but with our roots firmly planted in family farming.

Tony Tomlin

Harvesting Manager

Tony joined us in 2017 and is our brassica harvesting manager. Key responsibilities are labour provision, crop quality and availability ensuring our customer requirements are always met.

Steve Fletcher

Assistant Farm Manager

Joined us in 1979 and his responsibilities now include cold store management, wheat and potato quality and storage, plant raising and planting. Steve’s knowledge ensures our crops are kept in excellent conditions guaranteeing year round crop supplies for customers.

Adrian Drury

Assistant Farm Manager

Adrian, BASIS and FACTS qualified, is our arable crops manager who joined us in 1979. His responsibilities include cultivations and plant protection ensuring our quality soils are kept in peak condition and with great awareness for this intensive farms environment.

Paul Dodson

Workshop Manager

Paul is the third generation of his family to work for the Saul family and joined us in 1996. He is responsible for the maintenance of all farm machinery and production equipment. Having our own in-house workshop facilitates a quick response to breakdowns ensuring production downtime is kept to a minimum.

Joanne Briggs

Office Manager

Jo joined the company straight from school in 1988. She is now responsible for all financial, office and accreditation administration.

Allison Riley

Farm Office Assistant

Allison is our newest recruit and joined us in 2015. She has many years’ experience in the agricultural industry and is a fully qualified accountant, ACCA. She oversees all our purchases and sales, crop costings and payroll.
