Our Maris Piper potatoes are grown on only the very best silt soils that hold their moisture content. This ensures there is none to very little scab and these potatoes make some of the best prepack and baking potatoes in the UK.
Melody
Melody potatoes, grown on our silts soils, results in great eating qualities.
Nectar
This is our first year of growing this variety.
Packaging
Whole crop or split graded at lifting.

Our potatoes are marketed through Elgro Potatoes Ltd (www.elgro.co.uk).
All potatoes are stored on site with a 8,000 tonne capacity.

2015 Varieties:
Maris Piper
Maris Piper is a purple flowered maincrop potato and is one of the most popular varieties on sale today.
Our Maris Piper potatoes are grown on only the very best silt soils that hold their moisture content. This ensures there is none to very little scab and these potatoes make some of the best prepack and baking potatoes in the UK. They have a golden skin and creamy white flesh with a fluffy texture great for roast potatoes, chips and wedges but also good for mash.
Estima
Grown on our slightly heavier land for an early harvest, these cream to light yellow flesh potatoes also prepack and provide for the baker trade.
Estima potatoes are firm and hold their shape when cooked and are ideal for dishes such as potato dauphinoise.
Lanorma
This is the first year for us growing this variety for specific markets.
Lanorma is an early maincrop variety with a smooth bright yellow skin and light yellow flesh.
Melody
Melody potatoes, grown on our silts soils, results in great eating qualities.
Melody is a smooth skinned potato with a yellow flesh and is quite dry making this varierty Ideal for mashing, boiled or wedges.
Nectar Potatoes
This is our first year of growing this variety. Nectar is a white variety with pink around the eyes. It has a very smooth skin and is an early maturing maincrop suitable for prepacking with a good texture, taste and flavour and for dishes where a firm potato is required.
Saphire Potatoes
This variety is grown for specific markets and produces up to 60% bakers.
Saphire is an early maincrop variety and predominantly used for baking or jacket potatoes.
Sylvana Potatoes
Sylvana is grown on lighter soils at our Spilsby farm at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
This variety has a light yellow flesh and remains firm whilst cooking.
Potato (100g): Energy 345kJ (75kcal), Fat <0.5g, Saturates <0.1g, Carbohydrate 17.5g, Total Sugars 0.8g, Starch 16.7g, Fibre 1.6g, Protein 1.8g, Salt <0.01g.
Fibre content of a potato including skin is equivalent to that of many wholegrain pastas and breads and is a source of vitamins B1 and B6.
